I cannot thank you and your transcriber enough for doing such brilliant work with such poor quality recordings and in such a short period of time.

A huge thank you to you and Melissa for an absolutely brilliant, seamless service – don’t know what we would have done without you!

...the transcribers do such a sterling job and in speedily producing the transcripts, both electronically and on paper, are of great assistance to the parties and indeed to the Tribunal in being able to go back and look at things that otherwise would have to be recalled from memory.  So it is a wonderful service and I thank them for doing that so efficiently.

I must say that Counsel and I were mightily impressed with the service provided.  We had transcripts within a couple of hours of the court day ending on each day.  The quality of the transcripts was superb.

Thank you for another exceptionally accurate transcription – the microphone seems to have picked up every detail!

About JLVR

John Larking Verbatim Reporters was established in 1988 by John and Sally Larking. We aim to offer a personal, high quality transcription service with an extensive team of experienced transcribers.

Our administration office is based in the beautiful village of South Harting, West Sussex in the South Downs National Park.

John Larking is second generation in the transcription profession and a Member of the British Institute of Verbatim Reporters and a Participating Member of the National Court Reporters Association. We have been on the Tape Transcription Panel from 1992 to June 2017 and therefore we have a wealth of experience in this field.

We have covered cases such as the ‘Sony Walkman’ case, the ‘Dirty Tricks’ case, Heather Mills v Sir Paul McCartney (2008) and inquiries such as the Shetland Oil Disaster Inquiry (1993-94), Strangeways Prison Riots Inquiry (1990) and the A3 Tunnel Public Inquiry (2004). We have also covered long-running High Court Group Litigation cases such as the MMR Vaccine Litigation (2001-2007) and the Fetal Anticonvulsant (FAC) Litigation (2007-2011) and meetings such as the House of Commons Select Committee Meeting regarding the 2018 Football World Cup Bid (2011).

Previously we have held other transcription contracts. From 1993 to 1996, we held the contract for the Court of Appeal (Civil and Criminal Divisions) and Crown Office (Administration Court) at The Royal Courts of Justice, providing a transcription service for around twenty-four courts a day within this prominent court complex. Between 1990 and 1994, we held the Scottish contract for the Highlands and Islands providing shorthand in various High Court and Sheriff Courts including Aberdeen and Inverness. Between 1988 and 1993 we held the transcription contract covering Wood Green Crown Court and the Patents County Court.
